On Non-rational Factors And Construction Of The Spiritual World

At present, we are strugglling for achieving a new goal of comprehensivly building a well-off society. Under the premise of basically meeting people's material life, people are bound to make new demand to the spiritual life. The report at the Seventeenth National People's Congress of the Communist Party of China, also clearly proposed for building the rich spiritual and cultural life of people, a socialist core value system and a shared spiritual home of the Chinese nation, so that the people can have the more high-spirited and progressive spirit. Only the people's spiritual world is in harmony, we can realize the harmonious development of people and their own,then achieve the harmonious development of society. The people's non-rational world is an important part of the spiritual world. If there is no non-rationality, it is not a living person with flesh and blood, and is impossible for all kinds of creative activities. We must actively guide the non-rationality, strive to build the people's spiritual world, and achieve to all-round development of human and society.This article has four main parts.The first part, first of all, explains the philosophical implication of people's non-rationality and spiritual world. The spiritual world is people's unique survival way. It can be divided into rationality and non-rationality which is an integral part of the spiritual world. This article explains non-rationality in perspective of the Marxist anthropology. Non-rationality is a social consciousness generated on the basis of practice and a reflection of social existence; it is an identity of people, the basic spiritual property of real people not dominated by the purpose and awareness of people, and an important part of human nature; it is a unique existence status of people, and constitutes to the totality of people'existence together with rationality; it is an ability of people, an important spiritual strength, and the key factor to realize all-round development of human. The main manifestations of people's non-rationality are instinct, desire, emotion, will, and so on. It is complex with the characteristics of non-consciousness, the potential, the non-logical,the emotional, blindness, etc.The second part analyses the dual role of non-rationality in the spiritual world. As rationality, the non-rationality has played a major role in promoting the development of people's spiritual world. People's non-rational factors such as desires, feelings, will can play a positive role in the spiritual world, are mainly manifested in the roles of excitation and stimulation, selection and evaluation, regulation and control and the inherent power. At the same time, it sometimes has negative effects, which are mainly the role of self-denial, wrongly induced, intrinsic resistance and negative prevention.The third part, combined with the reality of Chinese society, reveals non-rational tendencies in the current spiritual world, such as biological instinct, desire expansion, indifference emotion and weak will. While people's material life was basicly meeted, the spirital home of people has some problems to seriously hamper the harmonious development of themselves. This is the bad consequence of non-rationalily's negative roles. Then we explore the root of non-rational problems in the spiritual world. The objective aspects are mainly the profound impact brought form economic, political, cultural, scientific and technological transformation caused by the social transformation; and the subjective aspects are mainly manifested in the values of people, because of no rational guidance, non-rationality led to the situations of value dislocation, value pluralism, value of vacuum, value of suspension and value of nothing, etc.Part IV, in view of the above analysis, puts forward some specific measures to guide the people's non-rationality and to build people's spiritual world from both theoretical and practical aspects. We should achieve the unity of people's rationality and non-rationality on the basis of practice to pursue for the people's integrity; set up a reasonable social norms to play a positive role in irrationality; implement the spiritual education to shape the healthy and independent personality; attention to nurturing a harmonious culture to build a people's spiritual home, etc. The ultimate aim is to strengthen the positive role of non-rationality, prevent and weaken its negative effects, with a view to realize the inherent harmony of the spiritual world on the basis of harmony and unity of the rationality and non-rationality.
