The history of ceramic-brick is not only a history of the development of brick-making industry,is also a development history of the art of ceramic-brick.It created a unique architectural language accepted by people and a kind of art style which integrate the original and modern.The intrinsic nature of simplicity of ceramic-brick makes it exist as both substance and Arts which acrossed the eastern and western cultures and adapted to different environmental and aesthetic needs.It has a broad application for ceramic-brick in the traditional living environment which comes from the expression to the local culture and national artistic.Along with the development of times and technology,brick as a construction material has been innovated to meet the further needs for modern living environment.As a result of the unique culture quality,the ceramic-brick materials is still playing a vital part in the daily activities.The integration of new concepts,new technologies and modern art makes modern ceramic-brick have a profound culture and spirit of times.On the other hand, ceramic-brick was transformed from the role of constitute building into the role of decoration.Therefore,how to highlight the decorative arts in the modern brick home environment are also very worth exploring.In this paper,the physical and cultural properties of ceramic-brick was evaluated objectively.In addition,the application mode and background of literature and art of ceramic-brick were discussed from the above two areas,which has potential development and wide foreground.The last chapter of the article tries to involved ceramic-brick in the arts field,Such as:the integration of ceramic-brick with Modern Ceramics,the integration of ceramic-brick with Modern Environmental Art,and some new methods for effective application of ceramic-brick in the modern living environment was put forward.
