Research About Short Group Counseling Of The Perceived Social Support For The Rural Left-behind Children

The development of children' s body and mind was affected by many factors,of them social support is an important one.However,because of children and parents are been separated, the social support system was been destroyed.The important source of parent' s support is forfeit almost.Most relevant researches were within the range of inquisitional and correlative analyses,few researches specialized on group counsel ing.The students of Grade Eight of Yuemingtan Middle School in Changde were selected as participants while two parallel classes were set to be experimental group and comparison group.Nine-week group counsel ing regarding perceived social support has been conducted in experimental group.The conclusions are the followings:(1)The Rural Left-behind Children' s social support levels are lower than general cotemporaries,and in subjective support there is a statistically significant difference between them;(2) No significant difference is found in social support between genders,but the main effect of grades is found.There are statistically significant differences in overall social support objective support and support utilization,but not in subjective support;(3)Which have statistically significant differences in social support of the Rural Left-behind Children are the attitude of been-left-home,been fostered by whom,the important others,family surrounding and the number of brethren;(4) The short group counseling has effect on Rural Left-behind Children's perceived social support;(5) Short group counseling has no significant effect on Rural Left-behind Children's security.
