In human society,social morality is usually reflected on people's values,and determines the behavior of people and the purpose of life,and thus affects the vitality of the community as a whole and the direction of development.In this paper,I will firstly analyze the reason of the change of Roman civic values and their way of life from the historical background of early Empire;then I will delve into the characteristics of social morality of the Roman Empire through their various actions,the legal system and social customs;I finally will study the impact of social morality on the improvement of the Roman Empire.This article is divided into introduction,main text and conclusion.Part one is an introduction.This part focuses on elaborating the research status of this issue in the academic circles at home and abroad.It also illustrates the significance and the innovation of the research.Part two is a main text,which is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the historical background of early Empire.The second analyzes social moral standards of Roman citizens in early Empire.The following chapters I will analyze the reflections of the social morality in life,legal system and social customs one after another.The sixth studies the impact of the social morality on the development.Part three is conclusion.I will draw a conclusion of the social morality of the Roman citizens in early empire.
