At the beginning of this century,the already weaken Chinese music industry have been invaded by foreign culture,Jay Zhou and other musicians start to merging Chinese traditional culture elements into R&B,Hip-Hop,and other pop music genre to create a fashionable and garish new "Chinese Style" music.This music trend soon becomes popular among young people and other pop music singers and producers also start to imitate this style to gain fame.The popularity of this trend is cultured by the modern music industry and promoted by teenagers' changing music taste,Internet,other communication technologies,and the growing consuming ability also played important roles in spreading this music trend.By merging traditional culture elements into "Chinese Style" pop music not only add some exquisite elements into the songs but also bring numerous business opportunities into the culture industry."Chinese Style" music is the Chinese musician's new way of counterattack to the western pop music trends and it provides new methods of producing music at the same time.The lyrics and music of "Chinese Style" songs are novelty,classical,and melodious,people can find peace of mind when enjoy the music and more or less gain some knowledge of traditional Chinese culture.Chinese Style music may provide an opportunity to awaken the sense of national culture self awareness and the reconstruction of culture identity.But we should also aware that "Chinese Style" music is produced by music industry to gain business success, the culture elements in it is merely a decoration to the product,it can't present the profound nature of Chinese culture.
