The Psychological Analysis On Beijing Siheyuan

Beijing siheyuan is a main kind of the traditional building model in China.Hundreds generations of Beijing citizens live in this local-style dwelling houses.This paper studied Beijing siheyuan by the method of psychology.The basic situation and historical development of Beijing siheyuan were showed in the beginning of the paper.The author of the paper focused on the environmental quality of Beijing siheyuan,and studied it in the way of environmental psychology and ecological psychology way.Beijing siheyuan contains Chinese traditional culture,especially the concept of "Li".The author believed that there must be a deeply influence about the national character of Chinese people,since they have lived in the building like Beijing siheyuan for hundreds of years.And Beijing sibeyuan reflected the relationship between the family members.With analysis the space of Beijing siheyuan by the environmental psychology theory of Beijing siheyuan,we found that Beijing siheyuan was very suitable for human being to live in.Finally,this paper discussed whether the living pattern of Beijing siheyuan was still positive and convenient in the mordern city of Beijing.And some enlightenment Beijing siheyuan could give to the architectural design of the modern residence.
