The Relationship Between Khan Kingdom Of Jungar And Russia

From the middle and late of 17^th century to the middle of 18^th century, Jungar Kingdom as an important independent power between Russia and Qing dynasty, has an important influence on the process of history in inner Asia. The thesis endeavors to examine the condition of Jungar-Russian relationship within 122 years momentary history of Jungar Kingdom by all-round ,meticulous ,deep way, and indicate the whole appearance of Jungar-Russian relationship.Rise, development, prosperity, downfall, is that any political power is supposed to undergo historical stages. The development and change of Jungar-Russian relationship will be divided into four parts, which are based on historical development and in the process of studying that making full use of the method of historical document ,the method of analysis and inductive ,and the method of connecting history and logic, and the concrete condition of Jungar Kingdom and its surrounding in the thesis.In the first chapter. The early economic and social condition of Khan Kingdom of Jungar and contact with Russia will be introduced .Economic and social condition mainly involved in the level of economic development of Khan Kingdom as well as general situation of social organization and governing apparatus. After explaining the historical condition of Jungar-Russian relationship, the thesis analyses immediately two main forms of early contact between Jungar and Russia: economic communication and conflict.In the second chapter. The forming of foreign strategies of Galdan and changing of Jungar-Russian relationship will be discussed. Galdan finally chose the strategy of 'Allied with Russia anti-Qing dynasty' based on four reasons: economy, geopolitics, history and influence of Tibet' lamaism. Under the guide of strategy above, the changing of he main process of Jungar-Russian relationship in the early phase ,prosperous phase, and downfall phase of Galdan government will be fully checked.In the third chapter. Jungar-Russian relationship during prosperity of Khan Kingdom of Jungar will be discussed. Firstly, the chapter analyses the forming of prosperous situation of Khan Kingdom based on economic and social perspective and innovation of governing system. Secondly, explaining element of Qing dynasty of Jungar-Russian relationship in Tsewang Rabdan times and Galdan Tsereng times. Finally, After explaining the attitude of Russia toward Jungar, analysing respectively Jungar-Russian relationship of 'fighting but breaking' in Tsewang Rabudan times and Galdan Tsereng times.In the fourth chapter. the thesis simply discucsses the process of downfall of Khan Kingdom of Jungar and Russian action within that stage.
