Western polyphony is based on Gregorian chant to form a fixed multi-voice music form. After polyphony have been produced, it fundamentally influenced the creative thinking of Western music, at the same time, inspired the composers on the rational thinking skills of composition, so that Western music took a different path of development to show people a new the world of sound.Polyphony is one of the most important ways of Baroque music. As a way to create music, it came into its peak in the Baroque period and was replaced by the system of functional mode of melody-driven music. This was the most important change in the Western music history. He is a talented composer and his music is an important pillar that constitutes the music halls of Europe. For the whole Baroque music, Bach's music achievements can be said to be mounted on the dome of the temple. Bach puts polyphony to be an unprecedented height so he is the most important representatives of polyphony. His Contribution to music is not limited to what we have been familiar with the music of the piano. And his writing techniques of Polyphony are not limited in the keyboard music, either. As his main way of music thought, his wide range of polyphonic techniques not only exist in his creation Cantata but also in violin and pipe music, which has a significant impact on the music cultural development and updates all over the world.Based on Bach's keyboard music(BWV.846),(BWV.988), vocal(BWV.80),(BWV.244)and violin music, polyphonic elements are Analyzed, so that we can learn from a more three-dimensional perspective to appreciate polyphony and Bach.
