Chi Zijian has wrote many excellent novels since she began her way to literature twenty years ago. If someone asks me what's Chi telling to the readers, I will say that she tells about stories of tribulation and love. The survival described by Chi is rather difficult and she tirelessly tells kinds of tribulations. However, there is always hope in tribulation. The hope is the light kindled by love and is the sun hold by good people with true feelings.Tribulation makes love more precious. It's the understanding of fate and life. Writing on tribulation never becomes the purpose. An excellent writer is not only to reveal the cruel face of life, but also to find or create a power of sustaining the truth while understanding the life, let people get spiritual solace and relaxation in the literary world, and lodge a protest against the deseperate world at the same time. There is no doubt that Chi Zijian is such a good writer. She pays much attention to the lives in tribulations with a humane soul and encourages them to surmount the tribulations. From close reading, combined with her experiences and geographical factors, this paper analyzed the writing on tribulation and surmounting the tribulation in Chi's novels .
