On The Conscioueness Of Absurdity In Pan Jun'Short Storise

The object of this thesis is the absurd consciousness in Pan Jun's works. Through text analysis of absurd consciousness in Pan Jun's novellas and short stories, this thesis will explore many predicaments and paradoxes of people's living conditions so as to show the unique narrative values and meanings of Pan Jun's novels.The first part is an introduction, which includes two sections, presenting concepts and summarizing the history of absurd literature. The first section will define"absurdity"and its features, and provide a theoretical foundation for later exposition. And the second section summarizes the history of absurd literature, especially the process of absurd literature in new period's literature, which will allow Pan Jun's works to be studied in a broader field.The text is compromised of four chapters. In the first, second and third chapter, this thesis will try to explore the absurd consciousness in Pan Jun's novels from theme, form and techniques and artistic expression and other aspects through text analysis of absurd living conditions such as wandering, futile efforts and destiny in his works. The fourth chapter will analyze the social background and cultural formation of Pan Jun's works in order to discuss how Pan Jun shows absurd technique in his novels.The last part is the conclusion, which summarizes the values and meanings of Pan Jun's absurd narrative.
