Quanzhou is a famous historical and cultural city.With the prosperity and development of overseas trade in Song and Yuan Dynasties,many foreign Muslims came there to engage in mission and business,when the inheritance of Islamic culture were left.In the later Yuan Dynasty,military conflict,killing and exclusion made Islam declined in Quanzhou,and then Muslim descendant alienated the Islamic faith gradually.From the middle of Qing Dynasty,out-coming Muslim has never given up on efforts to the revival of Islam in Quanzhou.Islamic history left a rich inheritance to Quanzhou,and after the founding of New China,government began to manage Huizu and Islam of Quanzhou through the identification and restoration of Huizu and rebuilding of historic site of Islam,after which the government-authorized civil organizations commenced to rebuild the Minzu culture of Quanzhou Huizu.In the city where Islamic culture went from prosperity to decline,government, local elites and out-coming civil forces are all rebuilding an ideal Islamic culture of Quanzhou Huizu in their heart,what left obvious traces.This paper will discuss on the modern and contemporary rebuilding activities of the Islamic culture in Quanzhou.Introduction contains explanation of Quanzhou Huizu as fringe of Huizu, literature review of Islam and Huizu of Quanzhou and the core concept.Chapter 1 is the general description of Quanzhou and Quanzhou Huizu.Chapter 2 is simple history of Islam of Quanzhou,which left inheritance to present rebuilding of Islamic culture of Quanzhou Huizu.Chapter 3 analyses two methods of management of state,which are identification of Huizu and rebuilding of historic site of Islam.The Chapter 4 is about the local nongovernment organization which accredited by government and their activity of rebuilding of Minzu culture.The Chapter 5 shows how the out-coming grassroot Muslim force influence the rebuilding of rebuilding of Islamic culture of Quanzhou Huizu,and discusses the method how out-coming Muslim are reviving religion in Quanzhou.Conclusion analyses the transaction of government, local nongovernment organization and out-coming Muslim.
