Compile Chorography In War Years

The research on the history of Shanghai, has become more important, even as a subject. Before the liberation of Shanghai, History Compilation Bareau of Shanghai was a bareau which specialised history of Shanghai and compiled Shanghai Tongzhi. Although it was difficult to compile history in war years, History Compilation Bareau got unforgettable achievement on collecting historical data and studying history.According to the point, my article is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, I introduce the complicated arrangement of History Compilation Bareau. The second chapter is the explainment of development, change and operation of it. Then I expound their activity and great achievement. In the last chapter, I give objective appraisement to its characteristic, then discuss the relation between History Compilation Bareau and research of history of Shanghai.As a group that interest in researching history of Shanghai, History Compilation Bareau had great influence on the rise and push of researching history of Shanghai. Due to lots of troubles, it left much pity too.
