The Researching About Tibetan Vows System From Seven To Nine Century

This thesis researches Tibetan vows system from seven to nine century . Vows system is an old Tibetan custom that results from the development of Tibetan society. Vows system involves all aspects of Tibetan society. It not only has an important value to research the whole picture of Tibetan society but also plays an important part in reconciling internal unity of Tibetan society,stability and the easing of external ethnic relations.This article gives five aspects analysis to the Tibetan vows system . The first chapter discusses the root causes of Tibetan vows, they are religious,moral,social,political causes; the second chapter summarizes the form of Tibetan vows including vows of Emperors with Ministers,Buddhist vows,the meeting vows in the book of Dun Huang Tibetan history,Tibetan royal marriage vows,the vows of Tibet with its neighboring countries and inter-clan ; the third Chapter discusses the Tibetan vows' characteristics that the system is an ancient custom of society,it is mainly managed by the high-level officials,the development of vows nature ; the fourth is about vows ceremony ; the last chapter is the vows influences .
