Study On "The Whole History Of Traditional Chinese Painting" Of Wuchang Zheng

Based on the subject of Wuchang Zheng's "the whole history of Chinese painting", a comprehensive analysis and the overall study were conducted, including the life of the author, writing background, style, research methods and evaluations from future generations. This paper focuses on demonstration and discussion of the narrative history model in his research, analyzing the history status and role of the book in Eastern and Western ideas blending and the changes of academic research methods. Comparing with a series of related paintings history, academic viewpoints and study methods were cleared. The impact of the evolution from Ancient Chinese Painting to Modern Painting to the structure and style of painting history was seeked. According to the history painting idea and method, taking the republic china painting history into the social and history background, the history research value of the book in the modern history of Chinese painting was revealed from age, culture, personal qualities , experience of the scholar and other elements, which is expected to be helpful to the study of Chinese painting.
