A Discussion About Development & Weakness Of Academic Discipline Of Chinese Traditional Painting In History Of China Academy Of Art

As a famous academic discipline,the Department of Chinese Traditional Painting of China Academy of Art has a history of frustrations.It has amalgamated with the Department of Western Painting for three times,also divided with the Department of Western Painting for four times.Now,the fact is researched by many art historians, whatever they say,they have a similar viewpoint:amalgamating means development of the Department of Chinese Traditional Painting; dividing means its weakness.This thesis is based on rereading correlated historical records,and try to take exception to above viewpoint.
