On The Evolution Of The "Sixth Generation" Chinese Directors' Development In The Context Of Globalization

Happening to live in the age of the globalization, the Chinese sixth generation of film directors have been making their own way for about eighteen years, from the first film produced outside the traditional administrative system as their beginning, then some films adwarded abroad, at last back to the traditional administrative system, which has shown the development and evolution of their innovational research and a return to the ideology of the mainstream and longing to be recognized by the domestic film market.The research object of this paper is the imagery of the Chinese sixth generation of film directors, which is influnced and development under the context of globalization. Based on the analysis of the background, naming and growth of the "sixth generation", it examines and elaborates the symbolic and absurdist imagery of the film pictures produced by the Chinese sixth generation of film directors, which has presented their concept of philosophy and ideas. These philosophy and ideas have reflected the directors' predictions to the fate of their metherland, who welcame the social reform and have been stepped into the globalization; their confusion to the potential future of the weaken group; their first contradictory process and rebellion, then their return to the regression and succession.Looking back upon and coding for the development of the Chinese sixth generation of film directors, the author, first, has made a better systematic summarization from the point of aesthetics, and then, made a better systematic pectination and analyzation from the academy. The paper wants to find out the regular pattern of their creative works and some shortcoming and problems which have existed in them. The purpose of the writing is put forward, in a centain degree, some effective strategy, the writer really wishes that the Chinese sixth generation of film directors will get rid of the awkward situation of the poor incoming of the box office, as soon as possible gain the harvest from both of the film market and art.
