The New Study Of The Relationship Between Chuang Tzu And The Book Of Chuang Tzu

The relationship between Chuang Tzu and The Book of Chuang Tzu(Zhuangzi) is an important topic in academic research about them. However, due to the lack of historical data, as well as the limitations of research methods, it continues to haunt the majority of researchers as a big problem.In the "Historical Records", Sima Qian has a brief description on of this issue. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the Western Jin Dynasty, the Study on The Book of Chuang Tzu was developed with unprecedented enthusiasm. There are more than ten kinds of notebooks on it,but there are sharply difference between them. After this time, there are people who doubt the chapters in this book almost every dynasty. Ancient scholars from different points of view put forward their views on this issue, which can truly be said benevolent see benevolence, the wise see Moses. This study has gained certain developments in recent times, particularly the studies of Feng Youlan, Zhang Hengshou ,Liu Xiaogan, which give us many useful methods. But this issue is still not well resolved.Our study is just the further exploration on the basis of our predecessors. In ideology of the study, we have inherited the idea of Mr. Feng Youlan to break the succession of section inside ,outside, and miscellaneous of the The Book of Chuang Tzu; we also inherit the idea of Mr. Liu Xiaogan to study by polysyllabic words. But we have made our changes. We will study most polysyllabic words in all the chapters and important philosophy terms not just a few words as Mr. Liu Xiaogan. In the method, we will use the statistical methods and comparison methods. We will compare the data and terminology we collected in The Book of Chuang Tzu ,We will compare the data and terminology among the books pre-Qin. We will have a conclusion on our study on the basis of previous study.The main components included in our study as following:Part one: The introduction of Chuang Tzu and The Book of Chuang Tzu. In this section , we will give brief introduction of Chuang Tzu and The Book of Chuang Tzu. The problems contained in the study on this will be included. Part two: The introduction of our study. This part include the reason of this study, the research status, the problems in their study, my views on those problems, and my way to solve those problems and so on.Part three: The study by polyphonic words. This section is the most important one in this study. It mainly contains the determine standards of polysyllabic words, methods to determine, authentication methods, the analysis and comparison of normal polysyllabic words and special ones in The Book of Chuang Tzu. On the basis of the above-mentioned study, we have come to the subject of our own knowledge and judgments. Finally, we will point out the problems in our study and my view of future research.
