In the history of China's modem drama development, Wu Zuguang is a playwright of unique style. His play has endless charm, is implicit and poetry-rich. It is the successful probe of the nationalization of China drama. Traditional Chinese Opera has a variety of effect on his creation. The author of this article tries to deal with some aspects of theme selection, scriptwriting technique, characterization, expression, scene and plot structure and attempts to analyses the reasons that exert influence from his life experiences and interest orientation. He made a creative use the essence of traditional Chinese opera in his works. Therefore, his works have the characteristic of strong nationalized aesthetic style and artistic features, making contribution to the nationalization of drama.In the first part, the paper deals with the source and origin of nationalization in Wu's play creation from viewpoint of subjective and objective factors.In the second part, the paper covers the aspects of theme selection, script writing technique, characterization, expression, scene and plot structure and analyses Chinese spirit embodied in his works, which is rooted in the soil of Chinese culture.In the third part, the paper elaborates the poetic feature in his overall creation from the perspective of aesthetic image, characters and language.
