A Study On Lobbying Culture In Zhan Guo Ce

The opinions and activities of the lobbyists in Warring States period were recorded by the book Zhan Guo Ce which vividly reflected their lobbying styles and living conditions. This study on lobbying culture in Zhan Guo Ce is a research based on culture theories and has blazed new trails for the study of this book. Traditional studies of Zhan Guo Ce have made great achievement which mostly focused on traditional school research, literary values and language style. However, until now, from this perspective, there hasn't any study results. In a sense, this study is innovative and exploratory.From the statistical analysis of the lobbying activities in the book Zhan Guo Ce, Lobbying Culture could be discussed from surface and deep levels, including lobbyists, lobbying patterns, applying of lobbying languages, thoughts and values. Through the original and social function of Lobbying Culture, we can have a preliminary discussion of the following question: What is the Lobbying Culture in Zhan Guo Ce?In particular, this subject could be analyzed from following four aspects as follows: First, it consists of lobbying groups, professional lobbying behaviors and lobbying strategies. Second, the thoughts of Lobbying Culture which formed from lobbying practice include the lobbyists'value, cooperation and competitive thinking, and their special thinking mode. Third, the historical changing environment and social lobbying trends play an important role in Lobbying Culture's occurrence and developing process. Fourth, it not only has a positive effect in admonishing tradition, but also has a dual influence on the society, promoting progress and people's negative mind of profit only.Generally speaking, Study on Lobbying Culture in Zhan Guo Ce pays great attention to comprehensive utilization of the theory and methods of different courses. First, the author uses statistics technique to tabulate the findings of 497 chapters of the book Zhan Guo Ce, analyzing the subject in other aspect as well. Second, this study has integrated multi-disciplinary theory which include culture theory, the utilitarian theories of ethics, the sociological exchange theory, linguistics and Pragmatic theory, Communication theory and Art theory. Such study could do a favor to thorough research of the book Zhan Guo Ce, expanding its study vision as well.
