From The Study Of Idioms In "Zhan Guo Ce"

Zhanguoce is a historical prose work in the pre-qin period.Its language is clear and popular,which can reflect the language features of the society at that time.It is an important window to study the language features of the warring states period in the Chinese history.The paper is divided into four chapters:Introduction.First of all,this paper summarizes scholars' views on the definition of idioms and their analysis of their characteristics,summarizes the differences between idioms and other parts of vocabulary,and clarifies the criteria for defining idioms in this paper.Secondly,the paper analyzes the literature related to the idiom of Zhanguoce,and grasps the research status of the idiom of Zhanguoce.Thirdly,determine the research significance of this paper.Finally,the research contents and methods of this paper are described.In the first chapter,the method of condensing the idiom from Zhanguoce into four-character idiom is sorted out.It is found that a total of 204 idioms originated from Zhanguoce,among which 118 idioms in the original text had four-character case and were directly used by later generations.In addition,86 idioms were converted into four-word format after deformation and arrangement in different ways.This chapter summarizes and classifies the deformation ways of these idioms.The second chapter analyzes the structure of Zhanguoce idiom.Idioms are formally equivalent to fixed phrases,and there is a certain relationship between the internal structure.This chapter analyzes the structure of the idiom from two aspects: grammatical structure and semantic structure.Its grammatical structure is divided into nine categories: juxtaposition,subject-predicate,verb-object,deviation,middle complement and so on.The third chapter analyzes the inheritance and development of idioms in Zhanguoce.Compared with other lexical forms,idioms are stable and change slowly.This chapter first analyzes the retention of idioms from Zhangucoe on ancient linguistic phenomena and historical culture,and then explores the changes of the forms and meanings of some idioms in the social and historical development.
