Study On China's Environmental Protection And Social Development From The Perspective Of Environmental History

As an important branch of historiography emerging in America in the second half of the twentieth century, the environmental history has greatly enlarged the field of historical research. It has obtained so rapid developments that it definitely becomes an important force in the field of historical research today. Taking the Event of SARS occurred in 2003 as a case, the dissertation mainly researches into China's environmental protection and social development based on a close study of the relevant theory of environmental history, and tries to provide the enlightenment for today's environmental protection and the social development in China.The dissertation consists of three parts, which are Forward, Text and Epilogue. And the text has four chapters.Chapter One mainly focuses on the research model of environmental history, as well as the present situation of China's environment history research and China's current environmental crisis.Chapter Two introduces the occurrence of SARS and the impact that the event of SARS brought to various trades and occupations in China.Chapter Three corresponding to Chapter two, this chapter mainly analyzes the deficiencies and problems in China's environmental protection and social development which appeared in the process of preventing and controlling the SARS.Chapter Four on the basis of the analysis and summary of the previous chapters, this chapter tries to provide the enlightenment for today's environmental protection and the social development in China.
