Status Quo Of Suicidal Ideation, Suicidal Attitude And Educational Countermeasures Among Senior High School Students

In modern society, suicide is one of the most important causes of human death. Suicide is the third cause of death among the adolescents aged 15-19 in the United States in 2000. Suicide is the first major cause of death among the young people aged 15-34 in China in 1995-1999. Senior high school students are at the age of 15-18 in China, at the peak of puberty, and in a instability of marginal person suffered from the tremendous growth pressures of a sharp imbalance of their physical and psychological development.Therefore, senior high school students are high-risk groups of suicide, it is extremely necessary for them to carry out suicidal crisis prevention and effective.There are four chapters in the paper. Chapterâ… illustrates the concepts of suicide, suicidal ideation, suicidal of attitude. Chapterâ…¡analyses the status quo of suicidal ideation and suicidal attitude among senior high school students in Nanchang, Jiangxi. ChapterIII analyses the motivation and factors associated with suicide. ChapterIV presents targeted educational countermeasures to solve the problem of suicide.The survey found that 9.20% of the 326 students had suicidal ideation. The proportion of the students holding a positive attitude towards suicidal behavior, suicide, the families of suicide and euthanasia was respectively 12.27%, 64.72%, 67.18%, 27.30%,7.36% had suicidal ideation and also held a positive attitude towards suicide. Nobody that had suicidal ideation held a negative attitude towards suicide and the families of suicide. Obviously, the incidence of suicidal ideation was quite high and majority of the students held a positive attitude towards suicide and the families of suicide. Therefore, it is imminent to propose and implement targeted educational countermeasures.
