Liu Xie's Wen Xin Diao Long has been the public attention since he built the theory of literary style. In fact, Literature style is an overall aesthetic look with the performance of the mutual integration of the content and form. Liu Xie's theory of style has a strong practical significance. The style of literature has been weaker and more vulgar since the Liu song dynasty, which makes Liu Xie have a strong desire to change the worse situation by going back to traditional style in order to build a sunny and healthy style. The twenty parts from Ming Shi to Shu Ji of genres are the major subject of the study, at the same time, the related questions of style about the literary creation theory and the criticism theory of Wen Xin Diao Long should also be studied. In all, we try to objectively look at the overall style of Liu Xie.In general, the thesis is composed of three chapters:The first chapter is to study the styles of all kinds of genres: zhang,Biao ,Zou and Yi are documents for politics , so the style of this four genres is in line with the Confucian classic style aesthetic norms which shows out in the form of a clear and elegant content and the concise formal language. Fu, Song, song and poetry are not the text of court politics, but also need to demonstrate an elegant mind .At the same time, the style shows the beautiful aesthetic characteristics compared with the other genres because of the nature of the particular pure literature. Xi Wen is used to denounce the enenry. Yi Wen makes the people understand the command of the king .The letters tell the mind of the writers. The referred three genres all demand a style of clear content and a incisive, keen language which is in line with the Ming Duan aesthetic style. The important symbol of the history literature and the essay is the reality. Historical literature demands a writing principle of reality, the same to the essay which tells right from wrong with the real argument to verify the full. Zhen and Ming is to remind the people of the danger, so, the content is very important and meaningful. Bei and Lei express the grief feelings to the dead, besides, Ming, Bei and Lei also have eulogies in content. Therefore they show a deep and great aesthetic norm. Lian Zhu and seven have a delicate structure and fine language. The second Chapter is to study Liu Xie's theory about the style of writers: Jia Yi has an artistic talent and a noble character. His political papers point out formal affairs and have clear diction. His Ci Fu represents lyrical sorrow without injury. In all, his style of writing is concise and clear. Sima Xiangru is arrogant and informality. He learns from Qu Yuan and Song Yu, so his writing shows out a style of extravagant and over aesthetic look. Yang Xiong is a pure and thoughtful writer. His article has a deep meaning and a strange rhetoric which make a invisible style. Liu Xiang is an allegiant man who dares to criticize the government. His articles have a clear subject and deep feelings. So Liu Xie thinks that he has a right and wide style. Ban Gu has a mild temperament, according to the ideology of Confucianism. In his writing, there are careful and precise narrative, gorgeous objects and thoughtful comment. So, Liu Xie thinks comprehensive thought is his style. As a scientist and Writer, Zhang Heng is indifferent, knowledgeable, well-thought. His poems are fresh and elegant. His Fu is affluent and reflects the style of dense and elegant. Wang Can is naturally sensible and impatient. His poems describe the grief and love. His prose has a deep analysis. Liu Zhen has a strong individuality, so, his poetry shows an energetic feeling and a strong diction. Ruan Ji is careful and wild. His poems have a vague meaning and his great man biography denounces etiquette and praise the great man. Ji kang is too natural to agree with the society. His comment is worth thinking, a reflection of his heart. Pan Yue is bright and greed. His poetry is beautiful and his eulogy for the dead is full of sorrow. Lu Ji is intelligent and cautious, whose poetry is good at carving and polishing.The final Chapter is to study the aesthetic style of each era: The literature of distant three dynasties is a reflection of politics, the style of which is simple in rhetoric and mild in feeling that has a long affect in future. In Warring states period, hundreds of doctrine establish a strong and grand style because of a free and active situation as the result of divided right. The literature of the Han dynasty always shows a refined and Confucian feature, the reason for which is that the idea of Confucianism becomes the rule culture when the regime is stable. The style of Jian' an era shows a generous emotion which is a symbol of writers' feelings about a separatist regime. The writers in Zheng Shi era like to debate the Taoism idea, making the style become lighter. The style of western Jin dynasty is very decorated and colorful because of some excellent writers. Subject to influence of metaphysics, the style of the Eastern Jin Dynasty shows a watery feature, especially in the poems of Xu Xun and Sun Chuo and other genres in this era.
