The Research On The Huaiyuan School Of Huagudeng

Huagudeng(the flower drum lamp), which origins and spreads in the middlereachesofHuaiheRiverarea,isonequitecompletefolkartformwithitsownsystem,and is the important symbol that the folk dance cultur of Han nationality in Chinesedevelops to the high phase. As one of the main schools of Huagudeng, the Huaiyuanschool has been in every villages and the villagers are always proud to say that thereare"thousands classes of percussion instrument and hundreds classes of lamps".Based on the description, explaination and summary of the art of Hugudeng ofHuaiyuan school, and the selection and the reorganization to the extant materialliterature, this paper make further deep research on the value and the meaning ofHuagudengofHuaiyuanschoolonthefoundationofthepredecessor'sresearch.The paper firstly elaborate on the historical origins of Hugudeng, subsequentlymakes investigation and the inquisition in classification style systematically on themusic characteristics, the school characteristics of Hugudeng using ethomusicology'smethodology. Based on this, this paper also has discussed the signifance of theprotection and the inheritance of Hugudeng in the village community from musicanthropology's angle, with the purpose to provide the source material in creating thehighgradeHugudeng.
