The Wei-Jin Northern and Southern dynasty was a time in which the China history was full of turbulence,great agony as well as rich art creativity.With the collapse of the Han Dynasty, the knowledge class became estranged. During years fight of polities, some of the scholars began to hold an attitude of estrangement,even desertion to the society politics, some of them entered the field of thoughts, some of them became hermits,expressing themselves by art. All in all,those scholars expounded and embodied a new age- an age of art, by using a kind of extraordinary spirit and wisdom. They searched life personality, feeling and soul, collecting the human's awarness with the comprehension, interpretation and expression of art, which improved the development of China art.Besides,it has laid a foundamental aesthetic feeling and aesthetic searching for the Chinese drawing history of thousands of years. Many scholars participated in the drawing,which made China drawing have an orientation on the whole. Such as Gu Cai-zhi's linear way of"Jin Jin Lian Mian, Xun Huan Chao Fu". In such a great environment, early artists of China had a deep research and expression on the way of painting composition of China theoretically and practically raising a series of theories such as"Zhi Chen Bu Shi","Jing Yin Wei Zhi","Wu Dui Shen Tong","Zi Ran Zhi Shi", and creating lots of drawing works one after another.From which, we can know something about the elegant drawing features of the Wei-Jin Northern and Southern Dynasty. Furthermore, plenty of frecoes, portraits on the bricks, portraits on the stone left provided many materials for our present theory study,Taking these paintings and drawing works as study materials, the thesis made an analysis and arrangement for the painting composition of the Wei-Jin Northern and Southern Dynasty from theory and work, thus showed the aesthetic and connatation and the aesthetic tendency to the whole society that the painting composition embodied.
