Objective: Study on the stats of puppy love of high school students, and to find correlative factors with puppy love. To find some differences between the love and no-love groups.Methods:We had randomly drawn out 15 schools from all the middle schools in Dalian. We had chosen 747 cases (Junior High School 440cases, Senior High School 307cases). The average age is 15.30±4.45 years old, in which there are 315 male and 432 female. According to whether they had puppy love or no we divided all cases into 2 groups:⑴Puppy Love Group (n=123), that include of the students who had puppy love behavior.⑵Control Group (n=624),that include of the students who had not puppy love behavior.We had investigated with general questionnaire, Eysenck Persona- lity Questionnaire(EPQ), Family Environment Scale(FES-CV), Coping Style Scale for Middle School Students(CSS),Egma Minnen av Bardnd- osnauppforstran(EMBU). Data was input in the computer, statistic analysis used sample Chi-square, t Test, Spearman correlation.Results: 1.Premature Love state:①123 cases (16.47%) of the objects had puppy love behavior, junior high school 49 cases(11.14%), senior high school 74 cases (24.10%). Different sex had no significant difference (P=0.567). Senior high school had significant difference on who were in love with junior high school (P=0.012). Senior high school had significant difference on who had been in love with junior high school (P=0.000). Junior high school had significant difference on who had no thoughts of puppy love with senior high school (P=0.000).②Puppy love group had no significant difference on parents'marital condition with Control Group (P=0.877). Puppy love group had no significant difference on fosterer with Control Group (P=0.843).③Puppy love behavior had positive relationship with parents'education (P1=0.000,P2=0.043).④Puppy love group had significant difference on parents'warm and comprehend with Control Group (P=0.000).⑤Puppy love group had significant difference on the familia- rization and family organiza-tion of FES-CV with Control Group (P≤0.047). 2.Premature love group's mental trait:①Premature love Group of senior high school(307 cases)had no significant difference on EPQ with Control Group (P≥0.208).②Premature love Group had no significant difference on CSS with Control Group (P=0.035).Conclusions:1. Most high school students had premature love be- havior.2. Puppy love behavior had positive correlation with parents'education.3. Puppy love group had significant difference on parents'warm and comprehend with Control Group.4. Puppy love group had significant difference on the coping style and emotion with Control Group.5. Puppy love group had significant difference on the familiarization and family organization of FES-CV with Control Group.
