Abstract:In our country,water color art has obtained rapid development in recent years. But comparing with other Pictures,it was still non-mainstream art. Water color has its own features and is very promising, but the study on its art rule and the dig of its exhibition language are rare at present. The visage of most Water color was moored to some mode.As we all know, western pictures prefer to paint realistically while Chinese painting pay more attention to impression. As one of the traditional kind of western pictures, Water color can describe real thing deeply, and in the mean time it was analogous with Chinese ink in the field of taste and lingering charm. Excepting for using western tradition for reference, Chinese water color artists should also indite national opus based on the distillation of eastern art. This method could make foreign-origin art suit to Chinese mentality and taste tropism. The history of China's water color can be regarded as the history of the amalgamation of Sino-western paints. So we should study the excellent tradition from both Chinese and western pictures, distill and combine their soul, then put more brilliant Chinese character on water color.Through the comparison of history, material, environment and different taste thought between Chinese ink and Water color, this paper not only explored the artistic charm of watercolor, but also reconsidered the actuality of China's water color art. Based on further cognition on the difference and commonness of Sino-western culture in water charm, this study try to find a specific position for this kind of picture,which extremely suited to develop in the East.
