The Research Into Reclamation Works From Wulate Three-Duke Banners At The End Of Qing Dynasty

The government of the late Qing Dynasty implemented in the form of a decree "cultivate virgin land of Inner Mogolia" measures, which is one of the most important and influential historical events in this district. Its historical function and impact on three duke banners are far-reaching. The paper made full use of archives of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reclamation works documentary evidence to do a more objective and comprehensive research into the causes and effects of how to resist authorities reclamation and reclamation works of Wulate three duke banners by Wulanchabu six banners and proposed the author's own analysis and thought.The thesis consists of foreword, main part and conclusion. The introduction explains the topic selected and its significance, the present condition of the research, the basic historical materials and innovation of paper. This main part consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, the paper reported briefly the historical changes, geographic conditions and reclamation situation from Wulate three duke banners. In the second chapter, reclamation activities carried out by the government of the late Qing dynasty met with fierce and unanimous opposition from Wulanchabu League of all banners including Wulate three banners, The focus of this chapter gives a detailed account of resistance to reclamation activities of six banners of Wulanchabu League lasting four years. In the third chapter, the paper highlighted the dispute over applying for reclamation among three duke banners because of unclear boundary. In the four chapter, there are a systematic elaboration about how to operate the reclamation work from Wulate three banners by authorities and the brief outline about reclamation work of authorities after YiGu.In the conclusion part, the article gives a short review thesis and presents the author's own views and understanding about the impact of authorities reclamation on three banners.
