The present thesis, on the basis of collecting existing editions of Janggar (江格尔) in our country, will analyze the features of different editions and their relationship from the perspective of edition theory and in terms of communication studies, probe into the cause of various of editions.This thesis consists of four chapters including introduction, the first chapter, the second and the third chapter. The introduction chapter is a brief introduction of literature review of the present research, the reasons of choosing this topic and research process and methods. The first chapter introduces publishing variety of Janggar in our country and the relationship between different editions. The second chapter discusses the cause of various editions of Janggar through analyzing changing of communication environment and addressee. In the third chapter, the author puts forward her suggestive view on existing problems in the process of communication and some methods to solve these problems.Through analyzing different editions of Janggar, five points are summarized as follows.(1) There are twenty seven different editions of Janggar in our country.(2) The six different editions of Aa ? Taibi's thirteen-chapter Janggar are originated from Merganbatars' thirteen-chapter Janggar; the 10 different editions of Jinggar (First Edition) in 1986 is closely associated to the Field Research in 1980. The film-making edition of Janggar is that of four hand-written-copy edition. The rest of nine editions are regarded as more independent editions.(3) There are many reasons for causing various editions of Janggar, for example, the changing of communication environment, the increasing number of addressees, personal possession of collectors, readers' demands of limiting word length, the inclination of paying much attention to its creation and ignoring its pass-down and the expansion of readers, etc.(4) There are many problems existing in the process of publishing. For instance, the field work is lack of continuity and unified organization; some of editions are over-paged; the edition design is dull and over-rigid; highlight of interviewing the popular legend of Janggar and ignorance of average ones.(5) In order to make the communication of Janggar more effective, it is necessary to cut down pages, insert more relevant pictures and hold an equal attitude towards all legends of Janggar.
