Chinese Soviet literature and art is the cultural tool for political propaganda and military mobilization in wartime situation. The peculiarity of Chinese Soviet literature and art is closely related with its generation ground. Red drama and red comic are two main types of Chinese Soviet image culture, and also are cultural highlight in Chinese Soviet cultural field. Their main features are the dedicated advocation of political elite, general participation of common people, prevalent popularity of square culture, and the final establishing of revolutionary ideology and mainstream values.This paper mainly discusses visual problem of Chinese Soviet red drama and red comic. This kind of literatural form pursuing visval effect become the mainstream of Chinese Soviet literature and art. The production and spread of image is closely related with the background of revolution and war in Soviet Area, and mobilized and popularized cultural orientation decided visval culture's prevalence in Chinese Soviet Area which was easy to be taken by common people. From the view of visval cultural theory, as the media of revolutionary ideology's image expression, Chinese Soviet Area's drama and comic both created new image cultural pattern, and shaped new "way of look" for the masses of Soviet Area. From the macro level, the paper discusses the process of production, application and control of visval image under the background of Soviet revolutionary culture, especially the relation between visval image and Soviet polity, analyses the historical inevitability why drama and comic became the main form of Soviet revolutionary culture and Soviet image culture's historical experience and contemporary meaning; from the micro level, the paper mainly analyses Soviet image expression's content, visval symbol's aesthetic characteristic and constructive characteristic, and image symbol's social function; from the meaning of cultural study, the class, gender and power of Soviet image culture also are the paper's focus.
