Study Of The Music Image Building Of Adele In The Operetta Of Die Fledermaus

"Die Fledermaus" is an operetta composed by Johann Strauss II and is the treasure of the operettas in Vienna. Operettas have been researched for a long time overseas. The new year concerts of Vienna have been rebroadcasted for almost twenty years. The music of Johann Strauss family has widely been well known by the professional musicians and the music amateurs. Although there are some simply introductive and short articles about the operetta "Die Fledermaus" at present, the music analysis of Adele in the operetta "Die Fledermaus" and the research of role image building of her are scarce. The present paper try to not only deepen the understanding of the image of the classical character of Adele, but also help the recreation of the image, through the research and exploration about the music image building of Adele.The present paper analyzed how to build the lively and classical music image of Adele from her aria, voice, language, stage performance and classical versions to her aesthetic value. In the chapter 1, the life experience of Johann Strauss II, the time and background of the story of "Die Fledermaus" were introduced. We analyzed the literary talent and inspiration Johann Strauss II had when he composed the classical role of Adele in "Die Fledermaus". In the chapter 2, the figure of Adele was analyzed extensively. The arias of Adele were musically analyzed from melody, rhythm, orchestration, harmony, musical mode and tonality, and madrigal. The main characteristics of music arias of Adele were also concluded. In the chapter 3, how to build the image of Adele was studied, we studied the music image building of Adele from the voice singing, duet singing, aria singing, spelling of lyric voice, disposal of lyric language and body performance skill on stage. In the chapter 4, the six classical versions of Adele were compared, and the aesthetic values of classical roles of Adele were analyzed."The maid Adele" was one of the classical images in the Western operettas, the research and grasp of the characteristics of the musical image of Adele naturally are necessary, the acquaintance and practice with her skill of duet singing and aria singing, processing of language (German), image performing on stage, analyzing of classical versions are also indispensable. Meanwhile, with deeper understanding of the temporal social situation, we can fully understand the careful use of musical elements on the character Adele by Strauss. The expression of highly typifying and fully dramatizing on the character with dramatic aesthetics by Strauss made the portrait of "the maid Adele" to tend to reach perfection, and render image of Adele to accord with the aesthetic temperament of the masses on right and wrong, up and down, kindness and evilness, beauty and ugliness. The transformation from deification to humanization and from simple paleness to complex abundance endow the image of the art figure with tremendous success, this is the fascination of the musical image of Adele.
