Research And Study On Pipa Education Of Taiwan Professional Institutions

Most existing researches are overall Chinese folk music development in Taiwan,there is few record focus on Pipa major and teaching Taiwan folk music development is very different as it disconnected with mainland in 1949 per political reason,but both sides have same roots,therefore amazing happened.It has been more than 40 years since year 1963 when Taiwan started Pipa major teaching at universities.For many reasons,Taiwan Pipa teaching is very unique,and also closely tied to China Mainland Pipa teaching.This thesis explores Taiwan Pipa teaching development and trends, through Taiwan Pipa teaching development history,cross-straits education practice comparison and folk music interactions.Analyzing by professional schools establishment,teacher qualifications, instructional resources,teaching methods and humanistic practices etc.This thesis also explores strongpoints and shortcomings of Taiwan Pipa teaching,proposes for Pipa development trends,provides reference for Cross-Straints communion and researches.
