Philosophical Reflection About The Contemporary Life Value

Human being, a seeker for meanings, could not bear a life with nonsense. It is right the searching and creating of the meanings that differ human from animals. The reason which makes human himself, is just because of the human being is a meaningful existence, which is not only as a natural being at all, but an existence lives in the understanding. Therefore, human is always questioning the meaning of life after he can manage his survival, such as what the human is living for, how the human beings are expected to live, and etc. on life value, which functions not only on how to survive but also on to furnish the living with sense, and to clarify the purposes and directions for the life pursuing.The case is more obvious in such a key era when society is making its way from traditional to modernize, when the foundation of the old value of reason is collapsing and the new public value of reason has not been built up. Human are like pedestrians, facing a crossroad of values of life, cannot choose the way to go. The lost in values meaning of life makes the trend of nihilism, extreme individualism, pluralism, utilitarianism, and irrational thoughts.Life value is not an argument only in philosophy, but a matter which influence the principles and moralities of the human beings when they handling something or with someone else, and determine whether they will treat their life and career positively or not. Therefore, the academic never drop the work in researching and casting back. The well-formed thoughts are definitely with many of the values and sparkles, however, they cannot avoid their weak points because of the period, class and position differences. Moreover, life value includes not only the evaluation of society, but also the self-perception of main body, we cannot rely solely on social standards requirements, ignore or evade the pursuit of human inward. So, the author believes we should study the life value issues from the view of human, and reconstruct the values meaning of life, practice a comfortable and elegant living concept which turn the temptation of material to spiritual enrichment, turn the self-centeredness to love all sentient beings and turn to looking at the long-term shift from the focus on the immediate.
