This paper focuses on the poems of Du Fu during his time at court, studies these poems by classifying them and by stages;tries to analyze the changes of the themes, ideologies, forms and styles. Moreover, probes the causes of these changes, and elaborates significance of these poems.This paper includes five parts:introduction, text of 3 chapters and conclusion.Introduction reviews the academic circle habit of studying the poems of Du Fu by period, tries to give a definition of the poems of Du Fu during his time at court, and then summarizes the research status.The first chapter presents an overview of the poems of Du Fu during his time at court, classifying these poems by sequence and content, which includes the farewell poems on his Zuoshiyi position, the travel note poems written when he visited home, the palace poems written when he returned to Chang'an, and the Qujiang poems during his time at court.The farewell poems put emphasis on describing war scenes. Encouraging friends to be utterly loyal to the country, and expressed his devotion to the court; The travel note poems recorded the social status and the people's tribulation, reflecting his care to the country and the people; The palace poems targeted on the palace life, and they were splendid and delicate; The Qujiang poems expressed Du Fu's morose mood for he achieved nothing in his position. These poems revealed his style and personal ambition, as well as his inward world during that period.In chapter II, this paper compares the differences between the poems of Du Fu during his time at court and those during his time outside the court, analyzes the new changes of the former at the aspects of the themes, ideologies and form styles.As for the themes, these poems transfer from society to palace, from emperor and country to himself; As for the ideologies,Du Fu waked up from his ambition,deeply realized the dark reality of the court, the fatuity and pruriency of the governors, and sigh for his being unappreciated.As for the forms and styles,Du Fu had been proficient in writing seven-character"regulated"verses, and the "profound and forceful" style had appeared in his poems.In Chapter III,taking account of the historical background and social environment, this paper tries to understand Du Fu's attitude and behavior of that time; and further, explores the fundamental causes of the new changes the poems of Du Fu. In addition, on the basis of the 2 chapters above, we think that the poems of Du Fu during his time at court made a great contribution in the following fields:these poems played an active role in broadening the vision of the realism poems; prepare well for the coming of the climax of seven-character "regulated"verses;moreover, they laid a substantial base for the formation of the style of "profound and forceful".Finally, on the basis of the chapters above, the conclusion part makes a comprehensive summary of the significances of these poems of Du Fu during his time at court.
