In the late Qing period, impact of Western-style fashion, by the Manchu, the Han-style integration of traditional costumes, suit-dress showing neo-classical style. In the late Qing period is the modernization of the traditional development of the embryonic form of suit-dress, which during this period is an important feature of decorative art technology, decorative formal language. The purpose of decoration on clothing is to beautify people-the object of their decoration and all means to beautify the people and processes can be integrated into clothing within the framework of the decoration. The specific characteristics embodied in the evolution of decorative, decorative craft aesthetic meaning and cultural identity, etc.From the evolution of decorative character:The decorative of suit-dress go through a evolution from emphasizing feudal ethical code to emphasizing human nature, from emphasizing imagination to emphasizing form, which inevitably with traditional dress of decoration technology and pattern. From the aesthetic character of decoration:Because the fusion of multi-ethnic in a long time, it made the decoration of women garment in Late-Qing Dynasty and Republic of China has dress aesthetic characters with Manchu, Han nationality, Mongolia and other minorities, which all form the aesthetic meaning of beautiful, fresh and plump. From the costume culture:Late-Qing Dynasty and Republic of China is a completely cross-culture costume communication, after King Wuling of Zhao's Hu nationality dress reform and Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei dress reform. The decoration of suit-dress as the most active content, it directly and keenly reflects kinds of inklings and thoughts in cultural conflict. This paper attempts to pilot study the decoration of suit-dress of late Qing period, in order to conclude the spread of exotic culture in the development of national dress and its cultural dimensions of choice; and explore the craft of the traditional costumes of the modern application of technology.
