Since its introduction into China, fuzzy theory has exerted a tremendous influence on the rhetoric; it has provided a new interpretative perspective and theoretical framework for traditional rhetoric. Fuzzy rhetoric is an newly-emerged discipline arising from the integration of fuzzy theory and rhetoric. It studies how to use vague language to improve its effect. Vague language is common in the literary language, and the present thesis is to define the term literary language, and the relations between fuzzy rhetoric and language of literature in a clear way, trying to use fuzzy rhetoric and the theories of its related disciplines to research the literary language. The previous research results are extensively referred to and this thesis is based on abundant linguistic materials and the integrated use of them. The infiltration of subjects, macro and micro combination of methods are also adapted to eventually complete the thesis.The thesis were divided into four main parts: the first parts are on the psychological mechanisms, with an overall grasp of the relationship of the literary language and fuzzy rhetoric, and then ,in the light of the specific language of the literary language, the later parts analyze and sum up the fuzzy rhetoric speech strategy of the literary language. What is mentioned above constitutes the main part of the paper; and finally, on the basis of the previous discussions, the paper elaborates the fuzzy rhetoric of literary language in terms of Pragmatic functions, explaining the fuzzy rhetoric effect on aesthetics of the literary language.
