Expressionism is an art campaign in German and whole middle Europe at the beginning of the 20th. century. Compared with other western modernism art, its style and spirit are unique. The paper includes the German Expressionism, the United States abstract expressionism, the new German Expressionism and so on. Expressionism art was imported in China in 1920's. Its emergence and flourishing influences initial practice of Chinese expressional oil painting art. Beginning from the 1920's to 1930's, the Chinese painting art appears a colorful prospect. In China, Chinese expressional oil painting art have a strong reference to the Western expressionism system. On the other hand, in traditional Chinese painting the heavy vivid and freehand brushwork is expressional. It can be said that the profound traditional culture behind the Chinese expressional oil painting artists, directly relates to developed and flourished of Chinese expressional painting art. because of the profound traditional culture and expressional spirit, the developed of the expressionism painting art becomes a necessity in China. Because of the external opening policy, the western culture is constantly introduced to come in China in 1980's. Consequently the expressionism influences again to Chinese oil painting. The Chinese oil painting art choicely absorbs from the expressionism and the expressionism art becomes to"Chinese morphology". The western expressionism oil painting art strongly push forward the Chinese oil painting art.
