The study on aesthetics has never been like this today in the Western and Eastern cultural traditions that will be closely linked, and because of the intensification of globalization and transnational exchanges between the increasingly frequent and heterogeneous in a weak position in the West, traditional oriental aesthetics is being greatly challenged. Li Zehou, as the leader of Chinese aesthetics in the 1980s, had made a significant contribution in the exchange of Chinese and Western aesthetics, especially on the construction of Chinese Contemporary and Practical Aesthetics. This thesis which aims to think through a case studies of Practical Aesthetics to explore Li Zehou, who, with the Marxist conception of practice, transformed and then integrated Kant on behalf of Western aesthetic with Chinese tradition, and eventually founded the Theory of Practical Aesthetics, tries to summarize historical experience in it for traditional Chinese aesthetics responsing to the challenges and impact of Western aesthetics, construction of Chinese aesthetics in the new century in order to seek a feasible path of development. The author believes that this subject of aesthetics for the future and healthy development of Chinese aesthetics has important academic values and a strong practical significance.
