Research On Iran's Ethnic And Ethnic Problem

Iran is the most prominent country in the Middle East, located in the intersection of West Asia, Central Asia and South Asia, is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-cultural, theocratic Islamic state; in Iran's history, many Aliens moving into Iran several times, that impacted Iran's ethnic relations and ethnic structure. As a result of the increasing cooperation in economic and trade fields and the closely exchanges of policy and culture in rencent years, more and more scholars have carried out in-depth study on Iran from the different aspects. Current researches are concentrated on policy, economy, history, culture. etc,however, few has researched Iran's ethnic problems from the geography aspect. China is a multi-national country with 56 nationalities in all,the ethnic groups in western China have sources and contacts with Iran's ethnic groups in cultural, religious and other aspects. It can provide inspiration and help in understanding and settling national questions in western China, in understanding the social and political situation changes in Iran,prompting the cooperation between China and Iran.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, Iranian nationality's multi-dimensional body pattern will still exist for a long time, the Iranian nationality question will still be the important social problem in Iran, and has the possibility to be worsened. In the historical process of various nationalities form and development, there are more and more communality while the difference getting smaller, the factor of national assimilation and multiethnic fusion gradually increases, finally achieves the elimination of the differences among nations and the assimilation and amalgamation of nations. Iran is the result of ethnic amalgamation, the concept of Iranian nationality also strike root in the hearts of the people, even if individual national minority have the radical behavior also is striving for their right. But Iranian Government's policy have no pertinence, the governmengt can not handle individual ethnic conflicts and contradictory propely, just ascribe it to the foreign instigation.Second, Geography factor is the foundation of Iranian national conflict, social problems such as poor, unemployment and so on are the catalysts. Iran's ethnic conflicts often occur in the provincial area which are economical backward. The unemployment rate is high, especially the young people unemployment rate, that makes the ethnic conflicts easier.Third, The influence of physiognomy factor weakens to the ethnic relations, as a result of the social and economic development and the improvement of traffic conditions, nationalities' exchange and the fusion is promoted, the influence of physiognomy factor to the ethnic relations becomes weaker gradually.Fourth, Iran nationalism, in the foreseeable future, will still be a crucial and powerfull force, simultaneously is faced various challenges too. The basic reason of the long-standing of local nationalism force is the unbalanced development of each ethnic Minority area's economy in Iran. The imbalance of regional economic forces inevitably creates inequality in right and power among nations. Although after the victory of Iranian Islamic revolution, Iran is also a unitary multinational state, rank basis of local nationalism has lost, but its influence still exist in ideology for a long time. The Iranian ethnic minorities such as Kurds, were inconsistent with the country geographically, which make the national question complex and universal, simultaneously also make that nationalism will be one kind of long-term historical phenomenon. But technological progress and regional economic integration development has impacted the nationalism's tradition territory consciousness greatly, mutual understanding among nations increased, gradually eliminating the feeling of strangeness and exclusive consciousness among nations. Iranian social development causes a series of questions such as environmental pollution, resources depletion, the polarization between the rich and the poor, Iranian nuclear issue, the economic blockade of the westen countries and so on, which is closely related to Iranian nation development and needs nationalities to overcome prejudice. Islam's transnational character causeed fundamental impact to the local nationalism, it has already in varying degrees weakend the local nationalism vigor, the Iran nationality concept strikes root in the hearts of the people.Three characteristics of the paper are as below:First,The research angle is novel.In China there is little devotion of scholars to the research on Iran's ethnic problem, even though it's necessary for the overall understanding of economy and society in Iran. Plenty of information and materials were quoted from foreign websitesSecond, it adopts several research methods to guarantee the conclusion's objectivity. Overlay Iran's nationality information with the geospatial information using ARCGIS and the PHOTOSHOP software, will obtain each kind of related national distribution map.Theory with practice, horizontal equity with longitudinal comparison are followed in the process of research. The paper combines theoretical thought with Iran's national reality, unites theory with practice, The related theories and the methods of human geography is put forward in the paper, which are the searches on Empirical study of national questions in human geography theories.Third, The manifestation is rich. The research exercises the technology of painting as well as Information Geography System such as R2V, ArcGis, Photoshop and so on to process the data of maps scanned directly or downloaded form internet, on the basis of which, many new elements related to the topic are added to perfect the research. This research has the massive data form and the colored graph, intuitively effectively presents the achievement which this article studies.The thesis is divided into following four parts:The first part of the thesis includes chapter 1.Both in theory and practice, Iranian national questions at home and abroad is reviewed, and the reason, objective, method and purpose of the study are explained.The second part of the thesis includes chapter2 and chapter 3. Following the description of the present population in Iran, the chapter2 processes all-around analysis of Iran nation from the following four aspects:quantity and structure, economic status and the living conditions, political status and the right characteristic, cultural religion status and its characteristic. At the same time, creating the distribution plot of Iranian nations by using the software ARCGIS.The chapter3 laies the groundwork for the further study of Iranian national questions, which has analysed the changing of Iranian national relations from national identity consciousness and the formation of national relationship.The third part of the thesis is the most important part,and includes the chapter 4 and 5. Based on a lot of related materials, this part has analysed the representation, characteristic and the root cause of Iranian national questions and put forward the thoughts and advice to solve Iranian national questions. Specific as follows:Iranian national questions are classified into two types, the stream of nationalism and national question (Kurds question, Arabs question, Baluchis question, Azerbaijans question), based on the analysis of its influence to Iran, the chapter 4 has sought the root of national conflict from a geogeaphical, historical and social point of view. The chapter 5, on the base of chapter 4, has given the thoughts, suggestion and dicussion.The chapter 6 is the fourth part of the thesis, which is the sum-up about the essay. It summarizes the main conclusions and offers the unresolved problems of this thesis.
