The Research On Yi-ologya Of Liu Zongzhou

The middle and later periods of Ming Dynasty(MD) is a prevail period which the Philosophy surpassed Neo-confucianism and unified the whole country. As an important component of Confucian Classics, and going with the evolution of it, the essence of mind becomes the mainstream of Yi-ology of Ming Dynasty. Liu Zongzhou, who lived during this period, inevitablely influenced by the academic thought of MD, and whose thought took an important place in that period.Up till now, there are few research outputs for Liu's Yi-ology. There's no specialized paper or published work which does research systematically and intensively. But as a confucianist of MD, Liu's status and influence on the history of philosophy especially on MD's Yi-ology, which has great meaning to the further accomplishment of Yi-ology and its development.Based on Liu's Zhouyi Gu Wen Chao, Yi Yan and Du Yi Tu Shuo, and combined other works in Liu Zi Quan Shu,, this paper has a deeply analysis towards Liu's Yi-ology, looking forward to have a fully and systematically view to people. First, this paper divides Liu's Yi-ology into two features'the first one is to state Liu's Philosophy through explaining Yi Jing, which means to belong Yi-ology into Yi Ti, and then goes to figure image, that is to say, ues Yi-ology to describe thought. Second, in his Understanding of Taoism Cosmology, Liu sees more on the objective implications such as Taeguk and Li Qi. On the Promise and Taiji, he equals Taiji to Yinyang. He thinks that we can see above shapes in within shapes. On his LiQi-ology, the anger which is unreal has been transformed. It is visible through a kind of dialectical way, which has been promoted to above shapes which equals the level of logic. On Yi-ology's important concept-the relationship of Dao and Qi, he proposes the "Dao cannot leave Qi" "There will be no Qi with not Dao" "Dao is Qi and vice-versa. He has original opinions in Yinyang which is that Yinyang has dual connotations of within and above shapes. Third, Liu proposes the self-cultivation art which has the core of self restraining in privacy. This is the best feature category of Liu. Firstly, theoretically, he develops self restraining in privacy into a complete system, and use it to treatise Taiji. According to this, he govern all the art to self restraining in privacy. Begin with self restraining in privacy, he put peaceful and jitter, and honesty and respect together. Secondly, practically, Liu experiences self restraining in privacy with his whole life, holding Holiness the goal of his self-cultivation and thinking Yin the realization of saints. The goal is to teach humans to adopt and abide to nature laws.
