Graphics In Diagram Design

In the age of information overflowing, the ways we accept information are much diversified. Single texts or graphics, or rigid forms, can no longer contracting us or influencing our senses. How to handle complex information, express them accurately, make them easier to understand, and deliver them to targets effectively is a much tougher problem than it seems to be. In this paper, Chart design is the main topics. We're trying to do some research in these directions. Chart design is a way to express some kinds of particular things, phenomena or abstract thoughts and ideas through graphics and diagrams. Chart design has special expressive characters. It has superior expressive ability on the concepts of time, space and abstract thoughts than words and texts. Just as the saying goes, a picture paints a thousand words; chart design has its unique advantages on expressing multidimensional information.In this paper some methods such as literature, induction, comparison and analysis, practice and investigation are used to explore the ways of graphics representation and design patterns in chart design. We also make lots of efforts on finding some regular patterns usable in practice.
