Aesthetic education of ritual indoctrination of Pre-Qin Confucian and emotion probation of ancient Greek philosophers each created the first high tide of Chinese or Western aesthetic theory and practice in history, they bloomed at the beginning and showed a dazzling light, and had a profound impact on the later development of aesthetic education.Both aesthetic education methods of Ritual indoctrination and emotional probation took harmony as the aesthetic standards, unconsciously followed the mental path of aesthetic development: Emotional-Will-Ethics, from low-level to high-level, from the perceptual to the rational to the perfect personality and finally rise to the aesthetic realm of life. In the specific implementation, they formed different aesthetic point of interest, followed different aesthetic standards, reached to different aesthetic realm of life and build different cultural and psychological structure.Confucius considered that the good was closely connected with the beauty, he devised the implementation of aesthetic education into three phases:be inspirited by poems, stand by ritual and get success from music. The spirit of ritual music went through all over the process, finally the culture of psychological structure who took "benevolence" as its core formed. Mencius followed Confucius; he brought new content to aesthetic education of ritual music indoctrination. Mencius thought that "cultivating the moral spirit" was a kind of aesthetic realm of life, and whether one can reach to it or not lied in ritual and music. We must make them valuable:to play music to guide people's minds, to perform ritual ceremony to reveal benevolence, take the indoctrination into account.Xunzi opened a new world for ritual music indoctrination, he maked a good success in theory of ritual and music, wrote "On Rites" and "Music Theory", and he remarked that "human nature is evil". If we consider Confucius and Mencius's aesthetic as a pure constructual activities of aesthetic human nature, the implementation of Xunzi aesthetics are built on the subversion of human nature, building human harmony by ritual and music aesthetic education.Plato believed that the beauty was hard. He compared love to beauty, he proposed "to meet the deep and secret teachings of love" which was an exposition about aesthetic education in fact, he elaborated the process of implementation of aesthetic education as the shape of beauty-the concept of beauty-the achievement of aesthetic realm of life, and he thought that this process was accompanied by a variety of aesthetic emotion and emotions played an important role in the implementation of Plato's aesthetic.Aristotle's thought that there were three ways for one to become a wise person:nature, habits and rational, and there were two kinds of human nature:imitation and the nature of pleasure, and emotional cultivation was the key of the implementation of aesthetic education. Spiritual relaxation, entertainment and leisure could lead to aesthetic interest; The beauty of moral was the standards of aesthetic education; Human harmony was the correctional emotional aesthetic realm of life which emotional probation aimed at.The paper compares the ritual indoctrination and emotional probation, analyzes the similarities and differences between them together with the causes, in the hope of getting a more comprehensive, objective and rational knowledge about aesthetic education of ancient Chinese and Western, learning the wisdom of aesthetic education from the source, and approaching to get a little inspiration for the contemporary value of the implementation of aesthetic education.
