The relationship between humans and nature is an eternal theme that humans are faced with. Development of human society requires us to understand and handle the relationship between humans and nature at first. In recent years, due to over-exploitation and utilization of nature, a series of ecological problems arose, such as green house effect, ozone hole, shrinking of forest area, water pollution, desertification, destruction of vegetation, etc. These increasingly serious ecological problems have become focus areas in the field of philosophy. Marx's theories on relationship between humans and nature provide a strong theoretical support for building harmonious relationship between humans and nature. This paper includes three parts. The first part systematically elaborates the origin of Marx's theories on relationship between humans and nature:(1) ancient myth of nature. (2) ancient organic whole view of "Heaven and Man in one". (3) medieval religious theology of nature. (4) modern mechanical view of "Heaven and Man in confrontation".The second part detailedly interprets the formation and basic contents of Marx's relational theory "humans and nature". The formation of Marx's theories on relationship between humans and nature is based on criticism to Hegel and Feuerbach. The basic contents of theories on relationship between humans and nature are:(1) interdependent relationship between humans and nature. (2) object-ness relationship between humans and nature. (3) organic package development of nature—humans-society.The third part mainly discusses contemporary values of Marx's theories on relationship between humans and nature:(1) harmonious coexistence of humans and nature is an inevitable demand for comprehensive development. (2) coordinate relationship between humans and nature is the basis of ecological civilization construction. (3) harmonious coexistence of humans and nature is a necessary prerequisite for science development.
