A Study On The System Of Official Historiographer In Liao Dynasty

The System of Official Historiographer was a fine tradition in ancient times, but there were not enough documents about Liao Dynasty so that few senior scholar could research on the System of Official Historiographer in Liao Dynasty. The article will study the System of Official Historiographer comprehensively to show complete picture of it.We can investigate basic overview on the System of Official Historiographer by researching on its origin, construction and changes. With researching National Historical Institute, Living Scheeren Hospital, Works Bureau Historian to analyze Historian appointment, duties and feature, and to study how to run to show writing history's grand occasion and historical development. The results show that the perfect System of Official Historiographer had produced more historical achievement than Gold and Yuan Dynasty. The System of Official Historiographer in Liao Dynasty had many features that were Part-time, Diverse Functions, Common Ancestor of National Outlook and Historical Textbook Tradition.
