Throughout history, thousands of folk songs are handed down and are still very popular in China. In these songs, female folk songs which are rich in vivid content take up a large part. Taking female folk songs as the research object, studying on the concrete work, and considering ancient China political, economic, cultural and social customs aspects, the present paper makes a thorough analysis and research. Furthermore, from the perspective of feminist, we identifies women's position in ancient China by classifying the female folk songs, thereby enrich the academic research on folk songs. Through the analysis on several various women in detail, we can see the life style, thinking situation, as well as emotional life of ancient China. From the analysis, the present paper not only reveals the ancient China women who rarely had their own voice and consciousness had been the attachment to the men, but also reveals the unfortunate love and tragic fate of the ancient women who were under the oppression of the feudal patriarchal system, complaining the evil of ancient China's feudal ethical code and marriage system.The paper contains three parts. The first chapter describes the origins and development of Chinese folk songs and classifies the female folk songs, including folk songs for specific group, female folk songs of expressing miss feelings, female folk songs of expressing sad life, female folk songs of longing for freedom. Chapter two mainly analyzes the female folk songs for the four special groups: widows, child brides, nuns, prostitute. The third chapter makes a glance on female folk songs of expressing miss feeling, expressing sad life, longing for freedom from the feminist perspective. From the analysis, it demonstrates the longing for the shining future of Ancient China women.
