This article takes the Shang Dynasty bronze inscription as the object of study, and carries on comprehensive research to it in terms of pure philology. The thesis includes the foreword, the character quantity and frequency, the glyph structure, the explanation section, the conclusion, and the appendix six parts. The foreword briefly introduces the current situation of the bronze inscription, and the research results the predecessor have already obtained. At the same time, it also does a classified explanation of the research results which has been given in view of the Shang Dynasty bronze inscription. In order to grasp the using state of Shang Dynasty bronze inscription, the chapter of character quantity and frequency fully counts the total quantity, the quantity of all different characters, and the frequency of each different character. According to the correlation data, it also summarises a few rules. Glyph structure chapter does not only provide an exhaustive analysis of each Yishizi's structure type, but also does the correlated comparison for understanding the type's change and adjustment. The explanation section does some research to a few difficult Lidingzi on the glyph or usage. The time of the quotation is until December of 2009, and if there is no way to quote the original text, it'll take the others. The conclusion summarizes the preamble data as well as the results, so we can clear off the article vein much better, emphasize the viewpoints and strengthen the impression. The appendix except has Yishizi character form, Lidingzi character form, Bukelidingzi character form three forms, but also has a stroke retrieval form of Yishizi and Lidingzi, so the readers can find the glyph structure and the character easily.
