In today's world, Oriental art ,represented by Chinese art, is more and more recognized by the Western world ,and the unique cultural value of the spirit of Chinese art shows increasingly global significance. Balthus's painting figurative art in the world has made remarkable achievements, and received world recognition. He not only inherited the tradition of Western art, but for a lifetime he showed love for oriental art. Balthus, accessible or ancient and modern changes, integrated traditional arts of East and West. He painted in the nourishing of Eastern and Western art. In particular, his landscape paintings, using expressive Western oil painting techniques, expressed mysterious Far East emotions. They were unique in the West area of ancient and modern landscapes. The screen conveyed his mind vividly, portrayed the mind by true state. His paintings were indulgent and convergent at the same time. The meaning lied outside the paintings, and was always interesting to people. Balthus found Heaven and Man combination and the selfless spirit of Chinese philosophy-style mood which was unique in traditional Chinese paintings. He made a Western-style interpretation by virtue of the art of his landscapes. Balthus is not only inherit and carry forward the traditional Western art, but also makes better use of the spirit of Chinese painting art.This paper tries to examine the traditional Chinese landscape painting of Barr Teece from the epistemological point of view and to explain it from the elements of the painting. Carry on the discussion from three aspects which are the formal language, the esthetic and the philosophical thinking as the basic pointThis article is divided into four parts:The first part describes Balthus and his artistic achievements of landscapes. At the beginning of this part, author described the implication of oriental in his landscapes panting, and he acquainted the Chinese landscape painting first time when he was young. The second, Based on his profound artistic accomplishments, Balthus explored the valuable artistic treasure in the Chinese tradition art under the influence of the Chinese landscapes panting and the traditional Chinese painting.The second part discusses on that, the spirit of Chinese art was embodyed in the Balthus landscape painting , from three aspects which are the painting in the form of language, aesthetic characteristics and philosophy.In the drawing of language: 1, On the composition, it used the"far"space consciousness of the Chinese landscapes for reference; 2, Balthus used the Chinese characteristics brushwork in his landscapes painting; 3, Color expression that it use Chinese water-ink into the oil color; 4, A way of seeing was what is describing objects to reflect objects.In painting of aesthetic characteristic, it summarized that they have the beauty of artistic conception, the beauty of vacuous and positive, the beauty of vivid charm, then article explained that Balthus's landscape had be up to the standard of Chinese painting.In philosophy, there are four aspects reflect the consistent with the idea of Zhuangzi: The first is the pursuit of natural beauty of the thought; The second is to value their personal emotional landscape in order to paint a portrait of the situation, reflecting a "Heaven and Man" in the ideological realm; Third is that Balthus go away to the forest in his later years, so he has a "View Road clarify the situation" in the spiritual realm; at last they have the same view of the world.The third part elaborates the enlightenment of the contemporary artistic creation caused by Balthus landscape painting. This section is divided into three points: First, the concept of integration of Chinese and Western art. Balthus take the oil painting as the representation to painting as a representation as to the inner spirit of Chinese art painting temperament characteristics should be our contemporary art requirements; second, adhere to their national advantage is compatible with other outstanding painting art; third, Taking advantage of ancient now. the idea of the artistic creation of Balthus promote to create on the basis of the traditional, this point same to Shi Tao's "by the ancient order to open today", it is an effective way even though it may not be the only way to contemporary art.In conclusion, China is a cultural power country, and has the glorious cultural origin. The fusion of china and the west is not only the simple fusion of the artistic material quality and performance language formally, but also the fusion of intrinsic spirit through drawing.
