Researching On The Phenomenon Of "Women's Strong Men Weak" In Scholar-beauty Novels During The Late Ming And Early Qing Dynasty

Scholar-beauty novels appeared in late Ming Dynasty and they become very popular in early Qing Dynasty. They form a remarkable novel school in the history of Chinese fiction. In these novels there are a lot of description of the man and woman protagonists are in pursuit of a love and marriage. In this process they create a large number of high knowledgeable, beautiful, passionate, courage beauties and servant-girls, showing a strong side than men. In this paper, from comparing and analyzing the image of the beautiful women and servant-girls, scholars, and"upset villains", we found this phenomenon of"Women's strong men weak"has become a prominent cultural and literary phenomenon, but also the social thought in the specific period.This paper is divided into three chapters:Chapter I: The contrast between beauties'strong images and the scholars'weak images. This chapter show the phenomenon of"Women's strong men weak"mainly from Lady literary talent and the wisdom and courage in dealing with the difficulties in daily life, and the initiative, boldness, tenacity and genius in pursuit of a beautiful love, marriage, etc.Chapter II: The contrast between servant-girls'strong images and scholars and"upset villains"weak images.
