Traditional culture is the essence of a nation's historical sediments, even though people's thoughts and aesthetic taste changes overtime, yet the ideology that passed on from previous generations is the root, which will influence people's art making and mentality. The new generation of cartoon-maker has to look for the junctions for national culture and modern aesthetic taste. We should stick on originality in the process of production, and with sense of responsibility to create nationalized cartoon, to excavate peacefully and positively, and to have a thorough study of the outstanding national culture and artistic. However, traditional culture has different meanings in different eras to express contemporary spirit. We should explore the nationalization to combine with times, and to give a scientific form and theme of the right presentation; thus, our national animation industry could have a comprehensive and long-term development.There are three main sections of this paper. The first section includes first two chapters, and is going to generalize by consulting materials of Chinese painting-art history. The development and art-style of line-drawing is going to be introduced, which includes its skills definition and style evolution process, and its character of line use and spiritual making. The second section includes the third chapter, with methods of comparison and illustrate. It is mainly to discuss the meanings and methods of line-drawing to the nationalization of Chinese animation character, and its feasibility. The third section includes chapter four and conclusion to make summarize, which to present the research findings and to bring forward the expectation to the nationalization of Chinese animation industry.After embedded research and analysis, this article reaches a conclusion: the particular traditional technique of line-drawing has certain reference meaning to the design of national animation characters, with feasibility for some new ideas that rise up in this article. However, our traditional art form need to be explored, the animation maker in new era should make in-depth research to the national artistic expression and to apply in animation modeling. National animation form is important, but the key is the expression of content. What we need to do is not merely visual art, but focus on the spiritual experience of the audience, which is the mental communication between the audience and animation. We should take animation as an effective vehicle in disseminating our traditional culture, to make national animation full of culture and customs.It is the basic principle of animation making, to apply advanced technological means in packaging the essence of traditional culture. Diverse forms is compelling visual means, but the content should be based on load and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture that has accumulated in a long history, and that is the only way to make unique national animation with oriental aesthetic charm.Line-drawing techniques might serve as a useful supplement to national animated characters, to make traditional arts to integrate smoothly into to the era, to develop new functions. Nevertheless, the line drawing style of animated characters can not cover all the national style, and the aim of this article is to explore a new field of animation. China's national art is wealthy; nationalization should be deep-seated towards diversification, and more attention need to be paid to identify various forms, to deepen themes and content, in order to create classic national animation.
