Numerous and various popular languages reflect society and psychology of certain period and have been brought into focus of researchers. However, remarkable and thorough research hasn't reached an agreement on the definition of popular language. Moreover, further research on dynamic evolution is necessary.Our study, based on the popular languages during these thirty years of the reform and opening-up policy, classified broad popular language from two points of view——popularity and language, and formed a system. From the angle of time, there are historical popular language and practical one, which both have general popular language and special one according areas and groups. From the other angle, there are popular languages of verbal symbol and nonverbal symbol, which are our major concern. They are popular words, phrases, sentences, chapters, language patterns of verbal symbol and subjective nonverbal symbols. But all of the popular languages can be classified into formal and informal ones.Popular languages during last thirty years are of oneness and represent the trend of dynamic evolution. The two stages of this period are similar in content, becoming and variety. Compared with the first stage, the popular languages of the second stage are more influenced by network and are more colloquial, which also suggests the development trend of popular language.
